Consulting
Clear direction for gardens that thrive year after year.
Consulting is where we turn observations and data into a simple plan you can actually follow. Whether you are restoring an established garden or supporting a newly installed landscape after construction, we help you choose the right path, prioritize what matters most, and protect long-term performance.
The Approach
We keep it practical and property specific.
We start with what we can see, then connect it to what’s happening below the surface—so decisions above ground feel confident.
Recommendations-only is always an option, and hands-on support is available through Soil Health and Fine Pruning.
All consulting tiers include:
On-site walkthrough(s) with real-time recommendations and Q&A
Seasonal priority-setting based on what we see across the property
Priority Notes after each visit (Now / Next / Watch)
Field Guides as needed (soil health, timing, pruning, simple checklists)
Optional photos/callouts to support handoff
Choose Your Cadence
Baseline
A focused, on-site walkthrough when you want a clear read on the property and a simple direction forward.
Timing: One-time visit (available year-round)
Best for:
A new property baseline or second opinion
Pre-season planning or mid-season course correction
When you want clear priorities to hand off to your gardener or team
Common next step:
If you’d like hands-on support, we can coordinate Soil Health or Fine Pruning separately.
Rhythm
Two seasonal check-ins to set the year up well and close it out well.
This tier is for properties that want steady direction at the biggest pivot points.
Timing: Spring + Fall (2 visits/year)
Best for:
Properties that are mostly stable, but benefit from seasonal course-correction
Homeowners or property managers who want two clear “reset points” per year
Gardens with an established gardener or fine gardening team
Included at this level:
Year-at-a-Glance Priority Calendar — a simple one-page snapshot after the spring visit that helps your team plan the season ahead.
Stewardship
Quarterly support for properties that benefit from ongoing guidance.
Clear priorities through the seasons, fewer surprises, and a long view across the whole landscape.
Timing: Quarterly (4 visits/year)
Best for:
Complex properties with multiple zones, vendors, or evolving priorities
Property managers who want proactive direction throughout the year
Gardens where timing and consistency make a noticeable difference
Included at this level:
Team Notes (optional) — a brief implementation section written for your gardener or maintenance team to make handoff simple and keep everyone aligned.
Good to know
Consulting is guidance and decision support. If you’d like hands-on help, we can quote Soil Health or Fine Pruning separately. And if you don’t already have a garden team, we can recommend trusted estate gardeners and fine gardening teams to support ongoing care.
-
Start with Baseline (one-time), then move into Rhythm (Spring + Fall) or Stewardship (Quarterly) if you want ongoing guidance. If you’re not sure, we’ll help you choose the right fit based on the property and your goals.
-
We meet on site and walk the property together—looking for patterns, pressure points, and seasonal priorities. You’ll get real-time recommendations, and we’ll talk through what matters now versus what can wait.
-
After each visit, you’ll receive Property-Specific Priority Notes in three simple sections: Now / Next / Watch.
We’ll also share MicroFauna Field Guides as needed—short reference PDFs that match your questions (soil health basics, seasonal timing, pruning timing, simple checklists). -
If you’d like hands-on support beyond consulting, we can scope it separately—whether that’s a Soil Health program (compost tea and soil support) or a Fine Pruning scope where it fits the property.
